Celebrating my birthday

Tomorrow will be my 1 yr old birthday! How are we going to celebrate? Hmm…Mommy thinking of just buying a small cake and let me blow the candles as a symbolism. Daddy Mommy don’t wish to hold a big birthday party as they feel that I am still too young to appreciate and enjoy yet. Too many guests in the house will also be quite stressful for me too. Thus they choose to celebrate in a more “low profile” way. Since Mommy’s 3 close pals are coming over to our place for a gathering so Mommy will just buy a mini cake to let me celebrate with these aunties.

Twinkle Little Star

Me: “Da…” (= Star) or “ Ssss..da” (= Star)
Mommy: “Hahaaaaa….Haaaaa”

Mommy finds it so funny…and she definitely loves it. Initially it started from 1 of the Teacher in the Infant care ctr, so Daddy Mommy just continue to try it out on me. To their surprise, I did it. However, there are times I don’t wish to “cooperate”. (Mommy sighs…)

I want to walk walk…

Do you know I am so exciting to practice walking? This morning, before leaving the house I even went to pick up my shoes (1 shoe on each hand) and held up high and then “ask” Mommy to wear for me…haha…Mommy find it so funny…and also surprised I knew wearing shoes mean I can go outside to walk. Of course I knew lah!! I just simply too excited! Yeah!!
Mommy is so touched to see my development everyday…

Chanting at Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum

Daddy Mommy brought me to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum. This is the 1st time I participated in the Zodiac Protectors Chanting (八大守护神转运法会). Mommy’s Chinese zodiac clashed with Cow (this yr) and Daddy’s conflict with Cow (this yr). Thus they hope to go there to chant for a smoother yr…Actually they thought my zodiac (rat) also clashed with cow but found out that is not. Anyway doesn’t matter, able to go there to pray to my Buddha Protector is also good for me. My (rat) Buddha Protector is Avalokitesvara (千手千眼觀音). Daddy’s (Dragon) is Samantabadra (普賢菩薩) and Mommy’s (Goat) is Valrocana (大日如來).
Mommy abit worried we might not be able to stay and chant for too long if I made noise. However, to Mommy’s surprise, I am still quite “cooperative”…after 10mins, I fell asleep so Daddy Mommy could concentrate their chanting. When chanting ended (after 1 hr), I woke up…so nice timing…haha…thanks to Buddha’s help.

Daddy Mommy let me try to walk around the house. And I can DO It!
I can even walk by myself at the void deck, then slowly towards the carpark.
Mommy is so thrilled to see that. And now she really loves to help me put on my shoes…
At 11mths & 3wks, I can walk! Mommy is so proud of me…kekeee…. Daddy & Mommy had a bet on whether I can walk before 1 yr old. So who wins?? Actually is Daddy won but Mommy doesn’t feel upset of losing the bet, in fact she feel even happier of seeing me able to walk before 1 yr old. This is Mommy…keeekeee….

Sob sob…Great Grandpa passed away….May him rest in peace and 往生善处(go to a kind place)… Mommy will pray for Great Grandpa…

Visit to River Angbao

3 of us went to River Angbao. But find it a bit boring as not much to see except 1 very big 财神 so didn’t even bother to take a pix. We have a light dinner at Ichiban, inside Esplanade before going to River Angbow. See how happy I am, to be together with Daddy Mommy.

Oh…now I understand why Mommy always scratch head when looking at the food menu.
Got to consider the prices and likes & dislikes…so took longer time to make a decision.

Mommy knows I like to play with papers so she deliberately placed those emptied red packets on the coffee table for me to play with.

CNY Lunar 1st day

My First CNY clothings

The traditional one is bought at Chinatown Mkt, at $16 but quality very bad. It comes with a hat. The red color actually went off and affected the gold color portion…sigh…

The other one with a Dragon is branded Richgi. Bought it at $20+ but better quality and comfy.

Living in the Jungle

The wall of my bedroom and my wardrobe is full of jungle animals decals. This made my room so lively and interesting. I am so thrilled to see all those animals and keep pointing the hippo & giraffes on the wardrobe.

Raiding the Fisherprice & Little Tikes Sale

Hahaaa…Do you know how many toys Daddy bought for me at Fisherprice & Little Tikes Sale? Total there are 8 toys which cost about $300+. From the pix, you can see there are activity table, stacks, caterpillar puller, basketball, musical chair, musical instruments, farm and rider cum walker. Some toys are for 1 yr old & above to play. The farm is for 2-5yrs old. Daddy very “kiasu” hor?!! However if you buy these 8 toys outside the market, the spending could be double. Thus is still worth to buy for me lor…and still can pass down to my younger sister/brother in future.
