New skill - tossing

At 5mths 3 wks, I mastered a new skill…that is tossing around when I lie flat on the bed/ground. Haa, don’t underestimate me hor, I can be very fast. Last time, I only know how to toss around when I lie on my tummy. This new skill really scared Mommy though she is happy I have developed a new skill. Reason is because there is once she saw me at the corner of their King-sized bed when she came in to check on me. Haa, I have tossed to that corner QUIETLY to enjoy the wind (from the fan). Daddy thinks that is time to start to baby proof our house liao. He tried to paste the safety kits onto the edges & corners of the bed platform. They also purchased 2 sets of alphabet foam mats (+2 sets "herited") to baby proof the area where I’ll be tossing & playing. Mommy’s friend & relatives adviced her to keep away all the easily accessible stuffs when I learned to crawl. However, Daddy got a point that I should be taught not to touch / grab things that doesn’t belong to me. Reason is, when we are outside, inside shopping mall / at other people place, Daddy wouldn’t be able to ask them to keep away all the easily accessible stuffs mah. Thus problem lies on me, I should learn what are things can be touched & grabbed and what are those cannot be touched. How to teach me?? They will gently smack me on my palm whenever I try to touch things which are not supposed to, then firmly tell me “NO”. Aunt Laykhim has succeeded in teaching her daughter not to touch other people things by using such method. Daddy said teaching basic manners should start from inside our house. Hence if allowing me to do as what I want, then when I go outside, esp toys shops…will be disastrous if Daddy don’t want to buy for me…I will sure scream and throw tantrums.
